ABOUT FP ASSISTANCE

FP Assistance or Food Program Assistance is a 501(c)(3) corporation founded in 1995. We are a sponsor of the USDA National food program  administered by the Texas Department of Agriculture.Our customers are low income and non profit child care centers relying on government assistance in order to feed their children meals that are healthy. As a sponsor of the food program we provide training as well as financial and administrative assistance to child care center's in low income areas across Texas. Our home office is east of Dallas in Forney, Texas and our sister office is located in Katy, Texas.

 

FPA services over 800 child care centers in the low income areas of Dallas, Houston, Austin, San Antonio, and outlying areas; That's over 50,000 children under our sponsorship!  We distribute over $25,000,000 per year in government funding from the United States Department of Agriculture/Food and Nutrition Services. 

 

We have over 60 employees who: 

• Oversee Meal Production, Child Attendance, Family Income Docmentation 

• Retain records for over 170,000 meals per day 

• Make over 2500 site visits annually for training in food program documentation and Food Preparation.
